1. THE LOCATION
First of all you need to decide the location of your movie night. You can choose to do a backyard under the stars cinema with a simple white sheet, some wooden sticks and a projector or you can decide for a fort movie night. But also a simple living room is perfect for a casual movie night with your friends.
2. make it cosy
Once the location has been decided you should start making it cosy adding some fairylights and candles, a fluffy blanket and a lots of pillows. Also you can decide to decor the location on theme; for example a Harry potter movie marathon means you can use the Hogwarts houses colors and decorations.
3. FIND A GOOD MOVIE
The most important step is to choose a movie that is good enough to keep you glued to the screen until the end.
5. Enjoy your movie
Last but not least try to enjoy the movie and also the good company
1. trick r' treat
This is my absolute favorite halloween movie because i love how the different stories are interwined, the acting is so good and most of all i love the plot that keeps you glued to the screen until the end.
2. all hallows'eve 1&2
This is another classic you need to watch if you love halloween and movies
3. the saw saga
This is a more intense horror movie saga and what i actually love about it is the plot that become deeper and deeper. At first impact they may appear different and detached plots, but you'll discover how there's a deeper connection that makes everything more interesting and compelling.
4. the conjuring
The conjuring saga is one of the creepiest movie i have ever watched and this makes it perfect for a halloween movie night. The acting is so good and the setting is creepy enough to putting you in a Halloween mood
5. Annabelle
If you're one of those people who're creeped out by dolls this movie is definitely for your halloween movie night. What i love about it is that they have built a plot based on something real, the negative vibrations that the real "Annabelle" doll has around her and all the accidents that always accompany her. This makes the plot more disturbing and suggestive
1. Arc de triomphe
This is my favorite spot to catch the beautiful sunset colors surrounding the city. I love this panoramic spot for the strategic point in which it is located, in the heart of the city , allowing you to see the Eiffel Tower and the characteristic parisian rooftops. The only negative thing about this spot is the long line to attend in order to buy the ticket.
2. trocadero
My favorite part about this spot is that you can see the Tour Eiffel in a very beautiful perspective. I also love to see how this place is empty and magic at the sunrise, so different from the evening atmosphere
3. montmartre
This is another favorite parisian spot of mine not only because you can see all the entire city from this really high point, but also because you can also perceive the real parisian life and sensations. The music, some snacks, the street art, the sunset's colors surrounding the city that slowly lights up.
4. pont alexandre
I love watching the sunset here for the beautiful colour contrasts that reflects on the spectacular parisian landscape. Also this is my favorite bridge of all the city and it is more spectacular at the sunset lights
5. tour parnasse
Known as the highest parisian panoramic spot here you can watch the entire city under the sunset colors
1. Flavored water
Flavored water is a great way to have much more water in a day and a good solution for who struggles drinking enough water daily. There are so much different combinations that you can try but my favorite is the lemon and mint water because is so refreshing and good for your body.
2. track it and motivate yourself
Very often the problem of not drinking enough water is to remember to drink. You can use a reminder every hour on your phone to remember to drink as well as some good bottles that can motivate you to drink trough quotes wrote on them.
3. drink to fight hunger
4. uSE A STRAW and drink water at room temperature
For a strange reason i noticed that i drink much more water when i use a straw. Also a water at room temperature can help you to drink more water making you feel less full and your thirst less satisfied.
5. REMEMBER TO drink after waking up and before eating
Drinking water right after waking up helps your body get rid of all the toxins and to activate your brain and your metabolism. Drinking water before eating can help you eat less and to boost your digestion.
1. LEARN HOW YOUR MIND WORKS TO MEMORIZE
One things i learn from my college experience is that every person has a different way to memorize something. In my case i've a photographic or eidetic memory, it means that i need some time to focus on the page that's in front of me and to let my mind to do a photo to it. When i need an information included on the page, this will be automatically opened on my mind. Colour codes and mind maps can facilitate this task to my mind. I also know a lot of people that have a memory based on what they listened on the past about the topic. So first of all you need to know how your mind works, how it store and recall all the informations and then try to improve and develop this ability on the time.
2. eat brain foods
Eating the right food is the key to improve your memory. You can find all the important nutrients that your brain need in the avocado, nuts, legumes, quinoa, spinach and most of all dark chocolate. In this way you can also enjoy yourself.
3. LISTEN TO BRAIN MUSIC
4. USE MIND MAPS TECHNIQUE
When you're dealing with complex concepts and processes drawing it and using a mind map can help to remember better.
5. EXERCISE YOUR BRAIN
It's important to exercise your brain to memorize informations. It can be considered like a common muscle of your body that constantly need to be trained to be and remain in shape.
6. CHALLENGE YOURSELF AND TEACH TO SOMEONE ELSE
This technique help you to memorize more informations at the time but also to question you own knowledge.
7. USE YOUR SENSES
Chewing a minty gum or eating a certain food studying or trying to remind something, can help you recalling the informations on the right moment if you eat or chew the same food.
8. MAKE A STORY OR A SONG
Creating a story or a song with all the informations can facilitate the memorization as well as the recalling process.
9. LESS IS MORE
Try to prefer memorizing less informations per time to avoid accumulation of a large amount of badly processed data on your mind.
And you? what memorization techniques did you prefer? let me know in a comment below.
1. READ
Reading is always a good idea when you didn't know what to do. It helps you dreaming of another world, another reality but you can also read something more constructive and learn something new. It's always good to improve ourselves and knowledges.
2. BUILD A FORT AND WATCH NETFLIX
There's nothing more cosy that watch netflix on bed with some snacks. Imagine if you could be surrounded from soft and cozy pillows on a snuggly tent watching your favorite tv show, with a pizza and a good beverage: you would have everything you need and it would feel like child again. If you want to build your own fort you can check out my past post about it
3. DO SOME YOGA
Doing some yoga can help you reflect more clearly and can improve your mood. Give yoga a shot and you'll thank me later.
4. EXPLORE
Exploring new places is always a good idea when you didn't know what to do and you want to try new emotions and be inspired. You can choose a place and enjoy your experience or you can simply let the fate decide the destination for you, pointing with your eyes closed on a map.
5. PAINT, WRITE, CREATE
This is the perfect time to express yourself trough your personal talent. Write a story, paint a beautiful landscape or create something like a dollhouse, a dreamcatcher or simply a sweater with your crochet ability. It's time to express your talent and give it voice.
6. HAVE A SLEEPOVER AND HAVE SOME FRIENDS TIME
When you're bored and you didn't know what to do it's the perfect time to have a party, have a little chit-chat with your friends, have some fun and to valorize and appreciate your time with loved ones
7. LEARN SOMETHING NEW
If there is any skill you would have wanted to learn or improve for a long time and you never had the opportunity, this is the right time to do so. Learn a new language, try to cook something or simply try a new style. It is the perfect chance to learn something new about you.
1. EAT A PARISIAN CAKE UNDER THE EIFFEL TOWER
You can't be in Paris without trying at least one of all the parisian cakes. In every corner of this beautiful city you can find a large amound of patisserie in which you've a lots of cakes to chose from. I personally can recommend you le pain au chocolat, le croissant, pain aux raisins, le macarons, l'eclair but most of all i loved the Laduree's saint-honore rose framboise for its delicate flavour. The experience is even better if on a place with a great view like under the eiffel tower or the sacre coeur place.
2. EXPLORE THE "SHAKESPEARE & COMPANY" LIBRARY
I remember hearing about this place shortly before leaving for there and i was so fascinated and curious about it at the point of reprogramming all the visits on the itinerary in order to include this destination. It's a vintage library with a lot of books, from the latest releases to the classics, including rare texts. I absolutely loved everything about this library, from the structure, to the organization, from the variety of books that can be found here to the kindness of the staff. It has definitely exceeded my expectations and i'm sure if I was a Parisian girl I would have spent half my days here
3. BUY A BAGUETTE AND CHILL ALL THE EVENING AT TUILLIERIES GARDEN OR AT A PARISIAN CAFè
Another favorite parisian spot of mine is definelly the tuillieries garden. Not much distance from the Louvre. During the sunniest days it is not unusual to find many people chilling near the ponds, chalets or at the shade of the trees. If you are in Paris for July and August, you will also be lucky enough to be able to take part to the "Tuillieries festival" that is full of attractions, good food and a great way to get away from the chaotic Parisian urban life, having fun and enjoying a legit Parisian evening.
4. CATCH THE SUNSET\sunrise ON EVERY BEST SPOT OF THE CITY
You can't visit the city without looking at it under the beautiful sunset lights and falling in love with it even more than before. I'm crazy enough to walking up at 4.30 a.m. to live the "Magic hour" with the sunrise simply because I consider it a perfect way to start the day, observing the colors of nature, be fascinated by it, it reminds me of what I should be grateful for and looking at the positive side of things for the rest of my day.
5. JUST ENJOY THE PARISIAN VIBES AND EXPLORE THE CITY
I think that the best way to know a city in its own essence is by leaving your maps, itinerary and every pre-planned schedule on your bag and starting to get lost in the parisian streets, follow your istinct and try everything that you're curious about. Try to feel the parisian spirit inside you and follow it without stressing out with your pre-planned schedule and enjoy every moment in this beautiful city.
